Breast Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction may evoke the highest emotional state out of all surgeries performed by a Plastic Surgeon. The choice for reconstruction is a highly personalized decision that needs to be made at the individual level but with the guidance and expertise of a Plastic Surgeon. As important as the reconstruction is itself, is the relationship between the surgeon and the patient. When one looks for such a surgeon it is important to be sure that the surgeon is as skilled in all avenues of reconstruction including microsurgery as he or she may be at the bedside. At the time of your consultation Dr. Klapper will discuss all avenues of reconstruction including Tissue Expansion as well as autologous tissue (your own tissue) reconstruction.
